federico barabino & guillaume gargaud
federico barabino born in 1982, buenos aires, argentina.
musician from an early age interested in improvised
music and free experimentation, using new technologies
and the 'errors' to develop a unique sound and
an endless search. work with different types of guitars
and amps several with a console 'no input'
re-discovering and re-pose the use of the same items in
real time. developing a particular contrapuntal
relationship between electronic and acoustic elements.
guillaume gargaud studied improvisation at i.i.m.a,
france between 1999-2002. he then joined zwann ei,
a sound and video collective focusing on audio/visual
context and how this relates to the body. in 2004 he
joined aarde with lois laplace. in 2007 guillaume also
started participating in the future ethnic comparative
research lab, examining ancient and modern
technological evolution. guillaume is currently working
in collaboration with marc roques for
an audio/visual project zooloop.
