'i can remember when synths cost 2000 quid.
virtual instruments have changed everything.
i started making this music by accident
when i got a copy of some famous music production
software and began playing around with it.
then i heard boards of canada,
that was nearly ten years ago and it is only fairly
recently that i have finally got my head round
signal routing and all the rest of it.
the music i am trying to make is extremely personal.
there is no subliminal message or hidden meaning.
it's not about the notes being played but more about
musical texture and the images it evokes.
it's about putting down memories and experiences
in some kind of aural vocabulary.'
